We bought a House!!!

Okay so I have been pretty bad about updating anything lately but I guess because lots of stuff has been going on!  Need to catch up on Cam and Cory but tonight's post is about a little endeavor we recently did by buying a home in Pensacola, FL!  To make a long story short, several years ago an unfortunate situation occurred where John's parents lost their businesses and house and ended up moving to Florida to start fresh at new jobs and they were living the apartment life.  We brought up the idea to his parents of buying a home and they can be our renters to get them out of the apartment and to keep the money in the family as an investment home.  John and I got a steal of a deal on a home initially listed in the $120,000's that was a foreclosure and went up for auction.  We were super lucky to win the auction and get the house for a third of the price and it was pretty much move in ready other than needing some good cleaning, & a new a/c unit and can use a good power washing on the outside.  The roof was new and the house in overall great condition.  It's not got any fancy upgrades and doesn't have a garage, but it is just perfect for what we were looking for and has 1400 square feet, 4 bedroom, 2 full bath, 1 acre lot a couple miles from the beach and close to the military base his Mom works at and I think it is a cute home that will be able to be re-sold if needed in the future.  They will be able to pay it off in a couple years, it was all around a win-win for all of us and we have the best renters possible and things couldn't have worked out more perfect.....helping out our family and we are set with a vacation spot now since my parents sold their timeshare in Daytona!  Enough talking here are the pics...some I took but some are the photos from the realtors site.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Week 13 & 14 (3 months)

Cameron,

Hard to believe you are 3 months old already!   I am loving this stage where your personality is really starting to show!  You are ticklish now and giggle and smile so much!  You have a happy disposition and just melt my heart with your big blue eyes and big grin! 

 

 

 

 

 

About You:

 

Crying:

You only cry if you are hungry and you go from calm and collected to hunger crazy demanding in a matter of seconds (fat boy problems ;) but other than that you are one laid back, happy baby!  

 

Weight/Height:

Haven't checked since your last 2 month appointment so we will find out again next month but you are a chunky monkey.

 

 

 

Health:

Healthy boy...no issues....so thankful!

 

Sleep:

You are a champ in this department....I have to pinch myself because it is hard to believe I got lucky this time around and I hope it continues!  Every night you go down now between 9:30 and 10pm and sleep solid through the night without a peep until about 6:30am when you wake up to eat.  After I feed you, I lay you right back down and you sleep until 8:30am!  You are a lazy boy in the mornings even after you wake you love to cuddle in the recliner.   

 

Routine:

Your naps are still random all throughout the day but we do have somewhat a routine of what we do each day and I have you do your tummy time and sit in the bumbo seat now or under the activity mat, etc.

 

 

 

Clothing size:

I have retired all your 3 month and boxed them up!  Sad my baby is growing so fast!  You are just in 6 month now...funny how you and your brother had the same growth spurt as babies! 

 

 

 

Diapers:

Size 2

 

Diet:

Just Momma's milk

 

Toys:

You can grab stuff now and put toys in your mouth.  You love chewing on your fingers now most though.  You love the kicking piano I put in your crib.  Next week we plan to pull out the exersaucer and let you try it out!

Favorite thing lately was taking you swimming in our pool a couple times and you got to swim and have fun with your brother and cousins and you really enjoyed the water!  It was like bath water temperature so I'm happy it wasn't too cold for you!  Another favorite thing was going to Vacation Bible School with you and your brother...you liked watching the kiddos and Cory had so much fun!

Least favorite thing that happened was when you scratched yourself in the head and let out a cry like you were in pain! Momma clipped your nails right after though!

Cameron Week 10, 11 & 12!

Baby Cam,
Oh my...where did the last 3 weeks go?!?!  Seriously, the time is flying by and I can't believe next week you will be 3 months old. 

You are the most easy going baby I think I have ever known!  You just never hardly cry, you are so smiley now and you just started giggling a couple weeks ago...totally cute! 
You have such a happy disposition!\

In my next post I will have to show how much you actually do look like me...I will show my baby picture next to yours...it is crazy!  I thought I'd end up with a Cory look-a-like but it is so cool to have a mini-Me and a mini-John!  So far you look more like me than your Daddy so I think it is neat!  Supposedly you are just like me as a baby according to my Mom.  She said I was super easy going and she always likes to tell the story how I barfed all over myself in my crib as a baby and it didn't even phase me....I was just sitting in my crib smiling regardless of what I had all over me...yuck. 
I thought your brother was an easy baby but boy was I wrong....he was difficult compared to you when I think back to his baby years. 

I can't get over how well you sleep!  Put you down in your crib every night around 9 or 9:30 and you wake sometime between 5:30 or 6 to eat, then you lay back down until 7:30 or 8am. 
You don't like to stay still for too long, always moving your arms and legs and you love to stand up already with Mommy's help.  You love the jogging stroller thank goodness!  Training for a marathon while having 2 little ones is tough but I'm glad I can take you along for the ride and you take it all in ...the sounds, noises and sometimes you just go to sleep. 

You love your hands and putting them in your mouth.
You love when I do the airplane with you and put you on my legs going up and down. 
You "talk" to Mommy a lot now!
You are getting so big and chunky, I love it!  Only thing it was kind of sad you had to retire your 3 month clothes so I boxed them back up and you wear 6 month clothes since you are too long for the 3 month!  Your personality is coming out more and more every week and I love how you giggle and think Mommy is so funny when I fake sneeze or copy your little noises back to you.
